From the Italian marble/leather reception desk to the CD playing
in the background, almost everything that you see is "For Sale."
"The original idea was to open a salon, however, during the
construction of TRIO, which started in November 2002, a knock at the
door turned out to be a girl that said, "I don't know what you are,
I know you're not open yet, but I love those chairs! Can I buy
them?" They were from my dining table at home. I brought
them for the construction worker's kids to sit on. I smiled
and sold my chairs.
Another day during construction I again answered a knock at the
door and a different girl said, "I know you're not open yet, but
I've been watching you construct this space for weeks now. I
don't know what it is, but my fiancé and I are getting married on an
island, and when we return, we'd like to have our wedding
reception in this cool space." I smiled and booked the
reception for October 2003.
When it came time to name the salon, I realized it served more
than one purpose, and so I smiled and said "TRIO."
